I **** to use 5 points on this. In my readers’ digest book there was a blank card: free surprise gift,,Ha Ha!
Skinny54Minny asked:
Who’s kidding who? Is this a fraud, scam, or what? Everyone who has received the same card says you’ll get a free book of some sort – “If” you buy more books. That’s not a free gift. I’ll be sure that I DO NOT ORDER A RENEWAL SUBSCRIPTION TO READERS DIGEST BOOKS. GOOD-BYE TO YOU – R.D.

The blank card is the other end of a printed card. Reader’s Digest didn’t have another offer to put on it.

There can always be screws up when things are mass produced. Sounds like a couple of cards got stuck together during the printing so when they were stuffed into books you got the blank one. No system is fool proof. And getting a book that you didn’t have to pay for, well that is free. You could buy books from another company and never be offered a “free” book.

Did you read the fine print? Thats where it tells you that the free gift is only for those who fulfill the obligations.
