I have always wondered how Internet sites can offer free gift cards, which I see auctioned off for slightly below retail value on eBay. Are they for real? Is there a catch? Can you get gift cards for Best Buy and Wal-Mart?

I know there is a catch, but I’d like to know what that catch is.
